My stay at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel was quite the experience. The location is excellent, right by the beach, but the room I received didn't match my expectations based on what I had seen when booking. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, my room felt more basic than I anticipated for the price I paid.

Rooms
6.0
I ended up in a small room that didn't have the promised sea view. It was clean but rather basic, and not quite worth the £119 price tag, especially given the lack of space and amenities.
Service
8.0
The staff were welcoming and quick to assist. I appreciated the friendly check-in experience and the offers of complimentary drinks, which added a nice touch to my stay.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic! It's just steps from the beach and close to various attractions, which made exploring Brighton super convenient.
Dining

I enjoyed the breakfast options, but I found the breakfast area could have been better organized. It was a bit crowded, and replenishing items took some time.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered a nice ambiance with its art deco lobby, and while I didn't use many facilities, I did appreciate the variety of services available.

I had a mix of feelings during my stay at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel. While the friendly staff and beautiful decor in common areas were highlights, I encountered a few significant issues in my room that affected my overall experience. The room was disappointingly hot, and the cleanliness left much to be desired, particularly the balcony area. I wouldn't write it off completely, as the welcoming atmosphere and staff made a lasting impression.

Rooms
5.0
The room was hot and scruffy, especially the balcony area. The toilet flushing was poor, and the shower pressure was disappointing. Overall, the room just felt tired and lacking in cleanliness.
Service
8.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to assist me during my stay. They certainly made my experience more pleasant despite the room issues.
Location
8.0
The hotel was conveniently located near the beach and local attractions, making it easy to explore Brighton. However, the view from my room wasn't as expected.
Dining
6.0
While I enjoyed the breakfast options, I found the room service to take an unnecessarily long time to arrive. The variety was decent, but could have been better cooked to order.
Facilities
5.0
Some facilities seemed outdated and in need of repair, like the lift service which was reportedly blocked up. However, I appreciated the variety of services offered in general.

I really wanted to love my stay at Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel, but it had its ups and downs. The location is fantastic, right by the beach, and I enjoyed the vibrant decor in the communal areas. However, my room didn't meet expectations and was lacking in maintenance. I had some mixed experiences with the service too. Overall, it's a bit of a hit or miss depending on your room and luck with neighbors.

Rooms
5.0
My room was dark and small with poor maintenance, which was disappointing. I read that other rooms were much better, which made it feel unfair.
Service
7.0
I had some friendly interactions with the staff, and they did their best to help. A special shoutout to Marianna for her amazing support during my stay.
Location

The hotel's location is superb, just a short walk to the beach and restaurants. I couldn't have asked for a better spot.
Dining

The breakfast had some tasty options, but I was let down by the lack of variety on my last morning.
Facilities

The facilities felt well-maintained overall, but my room was not as nice as the hotel promoted, which was disappointing.

My stay at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The decor in the lobby was wonderfully quirky, and I enjoyed the comfort of my room and the cleanliness. However, I faced issues like poor room service and less-than-satisfactory breakfast options that dampened my experience. I'd say the location is great for exploring, but the hotel definitely feels like it could use some updates.

Rooms
5.0
The room was modern and clean, but it lacked nearby power outlets by the bed. I appreciated the comfortable bed, though the windows gave a somewhat industrial vibe. I would have liked a better view.
Service
5.0
While the reception staff was friendly, my experience with room service was disappointing. I ordered food, but it never arrived because of a communication issue. Overall, the staff seemed rushed, affecting the overall service quality.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was fantastic, right on the seafront. A bit far from the main attractions, but it offered a quieter atmosphere.
Dining
5.0
I found the breakfast to be quite underwhelming with limited options. The service was friendly, but the food quality did not match my expectations based on other experiences.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities like the bar were inviting, but the carpeting in common areas was worn out. The overall maintenance needs attention.

I had a mixed experience at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel. The location is fantastic, being so close to the beach and local attractions (perfect for wandering around!), but the room I stayed in left a bit to be desired, especially considering the price. The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome, although some facilities could use a bit of refreshing. Overall, I enjoyed my stay but felt it didn't quite meet the luxury I expected given the booking.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in a Privileged Double Seafront room. While I appreciated the excellent view and cleanliness of the space, the layout was a bit odd with limited storage options and lacking some advertised amenities like slippers and robes. The bathroom could also have used more shelf space, which made it tricky to store my essentials.
Service
9.0
The service throughout my stay was really good. The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. They certainly contributed positively to my overall experience.
Location
8.0
The hotel is perfectly situated right next to the Brighton beach and I360, making it an ideal spot for exploring. However, it was a bit further from the Lanes and the pier than I initially expected, requiring a good 15-20 minute walk.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast offered a decent selection, though at times it felt lacking in variety and replenishment. I found some of the food options to be quite tasty, but the overall experience could have been improved. I opted not to dine in for dinner, preferring to explore local eateries instead.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had well-maintained common areas, which were stylish and inviting. However, some issues like the outdated small lifts and limited parking options (at £25 a night) were a bit of a downside. Despite these facilities being adequate, they didn't align with the luxurious feel I was expecting.
